Challenge Anti-Muslim Protest on June 10th

We will gather in response to a series of national anti-Muslim protests organized by ACT for America, the largest anti-Muslim organization in the country. ACT for America will hold an anti-Muslim event at the State Capitol in Raleigh on June 10. ACT for America has been categorized as an extremist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. We reject racism & Islamophobia & stand with Muslims, as well as people of color who are perceived to be Muslim & all those who are vulnerable to racist, Islamophobic violence, hate, and surveillance. #CounterACTHate

It is no coincidence that ACT for America has scheduled these protests in cities across the country during the holy month of Ramadan. In the spirit of Ramadan, we will show up to denounce forces of Islamophobia and white nationalism emboldened by the Trump administration that threaten us and our loved ones. We believe that all people have the right to live in dignity, without fear of violence. Muslims for Social JusticeMovement to End Racism and Islamophobia, & North Carolina Asian Americans Together invite you to #ActAgainstHate!

When: Saturday, June 10. 10am-12pm
Where: Moore Square, 200 S Blount St, Raleigh, NC 27601
