Action NC Stand with Women and Families
Join us for “Our Day of Strike” Durham’s International Women’s Day on March 8th at the CCB Plaza in Durham NC. On this day, we will wear Red in solidarity with our sisters to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. We will be highlighting issues and barriers that women face in NC with Equal Pay, Health Care,Reproductive rights, Paid Leave and Immigration.
“We issued a call to action for all women to stay home from work to demonstrate our impact on the economy and community. I understand that some can’t take this day off, but I’m here to represent those who could not be here today. I can be those voices and bodies that are not able to be here and be heard. That is why this year’s theme is “It’s time for a Change.” Our voices will not be heard if we do not take a stand for all women. Our time is now!” Join us at 9:30 at the CCB Plaza Durham 201 Concoran Street.
